Sir, – The Government is drawing up a new energy plan which may mean a reduction in heating for public buildings and offices (News, September 6th).
As is the case in Germany, heating could be switched off completely in entrances, corridors and foyers of such buildings.
Clearly, reception and front-of-house security staff can start stocking up on the thermals. – Yours, etc,
