Sir, – The article “Number of new diesels drops as sales of electric cars grows” (Business, October 12th) provides statistics about the growth in electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, while noting the welcome drop in diesel sales.
Nowhere does the article mention the exponential growth in e-bike sales which are central to reaching our climate targets, removing some of the awful road congestion, and ultimately making us a safer and healthier society.
Indeed, a few pages later, there is a dedicated Motors supplement. When can we expect a “Transport” supplement that accommodates all modes of transport on path and roadway alike.
