Sir, – I refer to letter from Conor McCarthy regarding his question, why is Balad referred to as a radical Arab party? (Letters, November 2nd).
He tells us in very couched language what the aims of the party is, so to dispel any misapprehension, may I state it in plain English: it calls for the abolition of the Jewish state of Israel and the replacement with a state with an Arab majority. That maybe a legitimate political objective, but let’s not fool people with fancy language, that’s what it means, so no wonder some people consider it “radical”. – Yours, etc,
