Sir, – With reference to Pilita Clark’s article “Women lose out when it comes to having pockets” (Business, November 7th), one of the most common exclamations at my own wedding day this summer was, “Wow, your dress has pockets”.
Pockets, particularly useful ones to hold a phone, in women’s clothing are so rare, that when they are present in a wedding dress, they definitely provide a talking point. I even had to pose for official photographs with hands in pockets. “Your dress has pockets, show them off!” – Yours, etc,
