Sir, – I was refused breakdown assistance as my four-year-old car hadn’t completed its NCT. Some insurance companies need to realise that NCT delays are not the fault of the motorist. I had to pay the cost of the transfer of the car to a garage, despite having “breakdown assistance” as standard. – Yours, etc,
