Sir, – I note that due to a shortage of blood donations, the Irish Blood Transfusion Service had to import blood from England (News, December 1st).
Do any of the large companies in Ireland have a dedicated programme for employees to donate blood once or twice a year on their premises?
Maybe pharmaceutical companies would be a good place to start.
