Sir, – I love Miriam Lord’s depiction of Stephen Donnelly’s ministerial career “sitting up in bed and having a soft boiled egg”, in advance of the Cabinet reshuffle (“Expect a wee shuffle instead of a reshuffle”, Politics, December 15th).
Jelly and ice cream were a good barometer of one’s recovering back in the day, but I’m sure Stephen was pleased there was no hospital trolley involved. – Yours, etc,
