Sir, – I love Christmas, always have. I go so all out with the Christmas decorations that our home resembles a candy-cane grotto.
However, I’m aware that I’m one of the lucky ones and that the holiday raises painful memories for others.
I’ve already seen retail staff get snapped at one time too many, staff who could already be finding the season difficult, so let this be a timely reminder for people to be kind to one another.
Everyone is rushing and aggressive, both on footpaths and roadways, and it’s really not good enough.
