Sir, – It seems that recording and listening to beige lifestyle voice notes sent through WhatsApp and other messaging services out loud is now the most popular method of ruining personal space on the Dart or Dublin Bus for the rest of us. Is there a reason people so willingly continue to violate their own right to privacy and dignity at the expense of our own wish to forget they exist? I miss the days when people isolated themselves with their huge over-ear headphones, even if it did mean a loss of daylight in the train carriage every day. – Yours, etc,
