A chara, – The admirable “broad alliance” of organisations railing against hedgerow destruction is a welcome sight (Letters, February 3rd). The best of luck to them. When I observe the twice yearly (and more often than that) unabated destruction I can’t help but compare myself to Mel Gibson in Braveheart.
