Sir, – I beg to differ with Finn McRedmond (“Zelenskiy has not written off Britain and neither should we”, Opinion & Analysis, February 16th). I have been an ardent follower of English politics since I got my first job there in the 1960s and have a lot of admiration for English people.
However, to praise Boris Johnson for being to the fore in his support for Ukraine? This man thinks he is Churchill, and one of the biggest chanters in British politics today. He would lead us into a larger conflict, just to grab headlines.
I admire the caution of other European leaders.
