Sir, – While on a visit to Paris last week I came across a small and beautiful boutique which sold travel bags and socks. I purchased some socks, not realising the surprise which was in store. On one sock there is a small button and on the other one a small button hole. Before washing, button them together and, voilà, no odd socks ever again. So simple and clever. Sock manufacturers, please take note! – Yours, etc,
