Sir, – Driving away from visiting a sick friend, and in an unfamiliar area of Dublin, I was just about managing with Google Maps. The phone ran out of charge, and I was totally lost, but fortunately I was outside a Paddy Power betting shop. Inside, a sweet young woman sat me down in front of a horse race, plugged in my phone to recharge, and handed me a cup of tea. Only in Ireland! – Yours, etc,
