Sir, – I have some good news for Kathy Sheridan, whose article sought to identify something useful out of Brexit (“Best thing about Brexit was how it exposed the con artists”, Opinion & Analysis, January 31st).
On last Monday’s University Challenge on BBC Two, the responders from both Trinity College, Cambridge, and the Open University both identified the UK as a country which was both in the EU and the Commonwealth.
If those elite students were unaware of Brexit, maybe it was all a mirage. – Yours, etc,
