Sir, – As an Irish-American, I take great interest in all of the trials and tribulations relating to the possibility of unification. I believe that the issue belongs in the hands of those in the Republic and those in Northern Ireland.
I believe that the US should mind its own business and back off with their advice, proposals and suggestions.
We do not live on the island and cannot possibly identify with the day-to-day issues that still divide the citizens of Northern Ireland. Ignore us. – Yours, etc,
