A chara, – Wexford rail passengers should count themselves lucky with only a single change being proposed on the line to Dublin (“NTA considering proposals to end direct rail services between Wexford and Dublin”, News, April 2nd). Irish Rail’s latest timetable requires passengers going to Ballina or Foxford to change twice on the early-morning and late-evening services. Interchanging twice with kids and baggage over a three-hour trip is never going to entice families away from their cars. – Yours, etc,
