Sir, – Further to the “controversy” around the Leaving Cert question on a “hopeful” Hamlet (Education, June 6th); Letters, June 10th), I’d imagine the student response might be along the lines of “Hopefully I’ll never hear or see this play again”, which is rather a shame but is often the outcome after the joy has been sucked out of the Leaving texts. – Yours, etc,
