Sir, – Looking at the revised Aircoach routes and timetables to come into effect this week, I was delighted to see that the two-hourly service from Greystones to Dublin Airport is being changed to hourly. However, my pleasure was short lived as the timetable shows the new route will take up to two hours and 50 minutes. The current Aircoach travel time is one hour and 40 minutes, which already feels arduous compared to the 45-minute journey by car.
To put this in perspective, when I eventually get to the airport, my flight from Dublin to Murcia (Spain), a journey of 1,752 km, also takes 2 hours and 50 minutes. Surely this is a case of one step forward and two steps back! – Yours, etc,
