Sir, – Dr Alanis Cusack (“Where have all the bees gone?”, Letters, July 6th) will be delighted to hear that we have had two swarms, one substantial, of native Irish black bees in our garden in the past few weeks. Both were safely taken away by two friends who are experienced beekeepers. – Yours, etc,
PAT COEN,
Claregalway,
Co Galway.
