Sir , – I wish to compliment the GAA president Jarlath Burns on the speeches he delivered after both the hurling and football All-Ireland finals.
On hurling final day, he reached out to our emigrants who still support and enjoy our national sport from all corners of the world. On football final day, he thanked every volunteer who works tirelessly on behalf of their community.
Well done, Jarlath, for publicly recognising and thanking all those who contribute from abroad and also those here who make the GAA what it is. – Yours, etc,
