Sir, – During his visit to Kyiv, the Taoiseach will sign a memorandum of understanding, discussed at Cabinet, which will “express Ireland’s solidarity with Ukraine and its right to defend itself against Russia’s illegal invasion” (News, September 4th).
When he gets back, perhaps Cabinet could meet again, after which Simon Harris might sign another memorandum of understanding, expressing Ireland’s inability to defend itself against absolutely anyone. – Yours, etc,
