Sir, – Cycling into Dublin city centre yesterday, I passed three different posters advertising public meetings for three different candidates or aspiring candidates for Dáil Éireann.
Clearly the imminence of a general election encourages candidates’ desire to hold public meetings on all sorts of issues. Reform of the law on posters should be one of those issues. – Yours, etc,
