Sir, – I am grateful to Paul Kearns and The Irish Times for giving us his view from inside Israel (“I am Irish and live in Israel. The war we see on TV is not the one you see”, Opinion & Analysis, October 14th). It has been lacking.

The noise of terror from every side drowns out the screams of the innocent as well as the pleas of the moderate. – Yours, etc,
