Dublin Airport passenger cap

Regional airports

Sir, – I have been following the story of the Dublin Airport passenger cap from the south of France with some bemusement. While I agree Dublin as a hub needs to grow, as someone who has been encouraging friends and neighbours to visit Ireland, it is beyond discouraging that the rest of the country has to play second fiddle to Dublin. Not every traveller wants to go there, only to then have to travel on to Cork, Kerry, Galway, Sligo or Donegal. Many of the people I encourage to visit would be more than happy to fly in to Cork or Shannon (as would I), but not a hope in hell. This is so off-putting. – Yours, etc,

D CAREY,

Nice,

France.
