Look at what lurks behind Donald Trump’s rants

The president is hurting the most vulnerable people in the US

Sir, – Regardless of his mental health, US president Donald Trump is every bit as small, petty and spiteful as ever.

The Trump administration has reportedly cancelled an $11 million contract with the Catholic charities of the archdiocese of Miami, which offers shelter and care to migrant children entering the United States alone.

The office of refugee resettlement, part of the department of health and human services, has paid Catholic charities for many years to house immigrant children entering the US without adult supervision.

Effectively, Trump will hurt the most vulnerable people in US – refugee children on their own in a strange country.

While his childish rants on social media are amusing, it is worth noting that behind them lurks a small, malicious man in a position of great power. – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Is Donald Trump infallible? – Yours, etc,
