Sir, – Your editorial (August 18th) describes the dysfunctional nature of housing policy. We must now have the debate on holistic solutions based on how we wish to live within the constraints of climate, community and affordability. We must move away from the failed policies of the last decade that are alienating and damaging. The solutions are there and I hope that Government will now listen to the alternative narrative of the citizen, rather than that of property lobby groups. – Yours, etc,
