Sir, – The recent spell of inclement weather, noted in letters (February 2nd), and all our poor weather, is down to Met Éireann’s logo. The logo depicts a cyclonic weather system, which usually visits upon us rain, wind, hail and other such delights.
It would be an easy task for Met Éireann to change the logo around, so that it would then represent an anticyclonic weather system, which is associated with stable air, clear skies, slack winds and good golfing conditions. Could Met Éireann change their logo to bring us a little sunshine? – Yours, etc,
