Sir, – Mary Stewart’s “day and age” (June 28th) has either long passed or never existed. As someone in my mid-20s, I do not see and have never seen a conspiratorial media agenda “softening up” the country for abortion. I have seen and heard many advocates for choice frustrated by governments too timid to dare confront the often frankly hysterical “pro-life” lobby.
The current Youth Defence billboards do not present any “facts” relating to abortion – rather they are misleading and offensive, and do not belong on our streets. – Yours, etc,
