Madam, - Dr Pat Doherty's views on the suitability of the Mater Hospital site for the new national children's hospital are itemised clearly in your edition of December 5th.
His first concern is with regard to access to the site.
May I point out that twice a year - on the first and third Sundays of September - more than 80,000 people, adults and indeed some children, make their way to the environs of the Mater Hospital, all on the same day and all at the same time?
They are on their way to Croke Park. Nobody complains about access. - Yours, etc,
