Madam, - Orna Mulcahy's article "The Round-Robin Writer" (Magazine, December 4th) captures brilliantly the tone and style of the writers of these Christmas "circulars", mostly from the US, from which we have all suffered.
Do they really expect us to believe that nothing ever goes wrong in their lives? Unfortunately, there seems to be a growing tendency here to follow this self-congratulatory communication at Christmas. May we be spared! - Yours, etc.,
