Madam, - I am sure that I am not the only one to be pleased to read the diary of Lieut Seán Byrne giving details of his and his men's service in the cause of peace in Chad (October 18th). It is wonderful to read of the work of those Irish soldiers who wear the green uniform and honour our flag and anthem.
You are to be congratulated on obtaining the article and it is to be hoped that there will be a weekly report until the safe return of soldiers of whom Ireland and the Irish abroad are justly proud. - Yours, etc,
