Sir, - I believe I am correct in thinking that Jackie Healy-Rae TD sought special economic status for Kerry in the recent round of negotiations for EU funds. He seems to have no problem being the beneficiary of other people's wealth (i.e. German or Italian taxpayers) but seems less keen to be the benefactor of less well-off foreigners.
Surely this is just another example of the contradictory nature of many people in Ireland today? - Yours, etc.,
