Sir, – In the rush to condemn everyone who works for a bank, an important distinction needs to be made between a “banker” and a “bank official”. The stereotypes about the former don’t need further airing here. Bank officials, who work in bank branches and bank call-centres, have some of the lowest-paid and most demanding jobs in the country. – Yours, etc,
