Sir, – It is estimated that 20 million people in sub-Saharan Africa need spectacles and can’t get them. I find it disturbing that there are adverts on TV for eye surgery showing spectacles being thrown away.
Don’t throw them away: give them to people who need them! – Yours, etc,
