Madam, - There is nothing in this life more irritating than listening to the likes of Bono, Bob Geldof, Pat Kenny et al. droning on the TV and the radio, asking people to give monies to various charities to feed the starving poor, etc. And now I see that Adrienne Corr is at it.
I have a solution. Let us all donate 5 per cent of our wealth and income to these charities, with the proviso that these "celebrity do-gooders" do likewise.
