Sir, David Quinn, in his review of Goodbye to Catholic Ireland by Mary Kenny (March 22nd), states that "the two most momentous changes in Ireland this century have been the end of British rule in the 26 counties and the end of Catholic rule in 32 counties."

Considering the decision of the members of the North Western Health Board to close a vasectomy clinic at Letterkenny General Hospital, following picketing by three Catholic doctors, it might have been more accurate to state that Catholic rule has ended in 31 counties. - Yours, etc.,
