Ireland has indeed ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1989. This was done "without reservation" on September 21st, 1992.

Furthermore, there is absolutely no obligation under Irish law to hold a constitutional referendum in relation to the ratification of an international instrument.

To suggest otherwise is simply incorrect and misleading. - Yours, etc.,
