Debate on Immigration

Sir, - The intellectual dishonesty of Roland Tormey's letter (August 3rd) is mind-boggling. He uses no quotation marks, of course, when referring to my letter of July 24th. This would restrict him to accuracy. He prefers to twist my words to suit himself.

As regards Lebensraum, whatever the intellectual origins of the word, as advocated and practised by the Germans it meant invading the territory of others; not holding on to your own. It is, therefore, far more applicable to the immigrant invasion than to our perfectly natural wish to keep our country for ourselves. - Yours, etc., Aine Ni Chonaill, PRO,
