Madam, - I write to express my sadness and dismay at some of the comments at the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals conference in Galway.
I totally respect the view that violent and dysfunctional children cannot dominate the rights of other students.
However, refusing permission to students with disabilities or young people from disadvantaged backgrounds is not the way forward.
If you do not have the classrooms or the resources you do not blame or punish the family of the children with disabilities. You blame the politicians and the Department of Education and Science. - Yours, etc.,
