Madam, - Thank you for publishing the excellent photograph of the infant giraffe, as yet unnamed, at Dublin Zoo (The Irish Times, June 25th). It should be called Hibernia. With the death of the Celtic Tiger, the birth of this new symbol, the Hibernian Giraffe, is timely. Ireland is going to need a lot of neck when pushing its current self-interested demands in Europe. — Yours, etc,
