Madam, - The letter from the denizens of Liberty Hall regarding film subsidies, for that is what they really are, strikes me as hypocritical (November 3rd). These are the heirs of the same people who not too long ago practically decimated the TV commercials and native Irish film industry with ridiculous crewing requirements and a closed shop policy for the other production and creative sectors.
This is definitely a case of the pot calling the kettle coloured! These people should stop behaving like farmers and get real. - Yours, etc.,
