Madam, - I attended last Sunday's Connacht Senior Football Championship quarter-final in Pearse Stadium, Salthill, with my wife, my nine-year-old daughter and my five-year- old twin boys.

On arriving at the ground I was told I would have to buy tickets for the main stand at the specially designated caravan. The ticket-seller at the caravan told me I would have to pay the full admission price for each of the five tickets purchased.

The total demanded of me was €150.00. My children had been eagerly anticipating the match. I felt compelled to pay the amount demanded of me to save them disappointment.

When taking my seat in the stand, I immediately noticed that many seats were empty. This continued to be the case for the entire afternoon.
