Going from bad to wurst

Sir, – To save Paul Delaney going round the twist (Letters, August 25th) when cooking straight sausages, I have a few suggestions. Cook some of the sausages inside out and some outside in. If this doesn't work, cook some of the sausages upside down and some downside up. If that doesn't work, cook some of the sausages front to back and some back to front. If none of these suggestions iron out the problem, then return straight away to the supermarket and ask for your money back. – Yours, etc,
