Sir, - Iarnród Éireann has struck a final blow to the poor hard-pressed passenger on the Kildare-Heuston commuter line.
Over the past two years it has squashed us into tiny carriages, frustrated us with late departures, confounded us with fare increases and left us stranded by regular strikes.
'But now it expects us to travel half-a-mile from Heuston Station every morning and evening to catch the Arrow service from a newly constructed platform in Islandbridge.
