Sir, – The proposed solution to reduce the journey time of passengers from Rathfarnham to Dublin city centre by seven minutes is to change the road layout from Terenure to Portobello and, in so doing, devastate communities, compromise pedestrian safety, seriously affect our architectural and cultural heritage, ignore the Government plan to reduce carbon emissions, reduce green spaces and, this being National Tree Week, wilfully destroy 100-year-old trees. – Yours, etc,
