Madam, - The Irish Hospitals Sweepstakes (1930-1987) was once the biggest lottery in the world.

Based on major horse races, with its catch call of "If You're Not In You Can't Win", it had millions of people seeking tickets worldwide. Ticket were sold in over 130 countries around the world. Authorised by the Irish Government and promoted internationally, the Sweeps offered huge prize money and would raise millions of pounds for Irish hospitals.

A documentary film is now being made to tell the story of the Irish Hospitals Sweepstakes. The producers would like to hear from people who won prizes either in Ireland or abroad, people who acted as agents for the Sweepstakes, people who sold tickets in Ireland or abroad.

We would especially like to hear from people whose relatives in the US or Canada were winners or were involved with the distribution of tickets.
