Madam, - May I congratulate Don Givens for selecting four League of Ireland players for the Irish squad to play Greece this week. It is long overdue and no less than they and the league deserve.
Amazingly, it only took 11 first choice squad members to pull out in order for it to happen. If only more English Premiership and First Division players would follow suit, we could have an entire squad of League of Ireland players in the Euro qualifiers and not a plastic fan in sight! - Yours, etc.,
