A chara, – Niall Ginty (October 5th) seems to be somewhat upset that Justin Kilcullen of Trócaire has called for a ban on imports from Israeli settlements and he arrogantly announces from his ivory tower that “his (Mr Kilcullen’s) charity will suffer the consequences”.

Perhaps Mr Ginty should inform himself a little more before pontificating to others. Trócaire describes itself as “an Irish charity working to eradicate poverty and promote justice for all”. Justice for Palestinians is at the forefront of all battles for world justice. Mr Kilcullen’s words (Opinion, October 4th) should be lauded by all. If only our Government would listen and ban the importation of illegal Israeli settlement goods into our country. – Is mise,
