Sir, - Your recent letters about litter make interesting reading. This morning I removed from our front gate the usual papers, cans, the remains of a take-away, some dog's dirt. Another item was a condom! The contents of someone's stomach were also present. Human excrement has also had to be dealt with, but not on this occasion.
Not a pleasant start to a Monday morning and words fail me. I found the task disgusting and I despair of the lack of decency and modesty. - Yours, etc.
