Sir, – “Junk mail” comes in many forms and guises. It emanates from the full range of companies, large and small.
Its purpose varies, from the individual seeking work to the multinational companies advertising food, furniture, computers, etc.
It can be an inconvenience, but surely that is all it is.
If you don’t need any of the products or services offered, just bin the flyers.
But what of the individual who is trying to create self-employment?
He or she can only rely on leaflet-drops if looking for work as a cleaner, gardener, decorator, etc.
Using a “no junk mail” sticker, while expressing one’s views on such leaflets, fails to recognise the extent of employment involved in the design, production and delivery of these flyers. – Yours, et,
